GATEWAY TO PLAY

The largest town within Mary Valley, Imbil is essentially the gateway to Borumba Dam and the surprising array of outdoor pursuits and recreation available within the region’s myriad forests and waterways – including camping, bushwalking, fishing, horse riding, mountain biking, enduro riding, four-wheel driving, canoeing, kayaking, boating and other water activities.

Yes, in the Imbil area, you can walk, fish, ride, drive, paddle or even water ski!

Set on the edge of Imbil State Forest and Yabba Creek, which is home to platypus, Imbil features weekly markets, a general store, a butcher, two cafes, a hotel, a bowling club and beautiful parkland with a playground.

There is also a number of interesting retail stores, a hairdresser and a range of services including a medical centre, pharmacy, post office and library.

INCREDIBLE VIEWS

Imbil Lookout in the centre of town offers spectacular, almost 360-degree views taking in Kenilworth, the mountains and the Sunshine Coast.

Organised by Mary Valley Artslink, the festival always includes workshops and demonstrations for budding artists.
